Report your alternative transportation trips on the calendar once you've logged in to your RideShare Connection account. See below to find out how many trips or points you must earn to be eligible for our weekly and monthly prize drawings.

Prize winners will be notified by email and must reply within seven days to claim their prize.

Daily prize drawings

Prize drawings will be done every day around 2 p.m. Participants who have logged at least one trip that day will be eligible, and winners will be notified by email. Winners will be announced on RideShare's Facebook page, in the weekly update emails and on the Green Commute Challenge website.

The daily prize is a Green Commute kit that includes handy transportation items such as a slingpack, tire gauge and an umbrella.

Monthly prize drawings

End-of-month winners will be drawn on Friday, Aug. 3; Friday, Aug. 31; and Friday, Sept. 28, 2012. Winners will be notified by email. Final details on monthly prizes will be available in mid-June.

Organization awards

Employers will compete for overall organization awards based on total employee points (in several company size categories) and best workplace promotion of the challenge.

We know that many companies within similar industries keep close track of each other during the Green Commute Challenge. This year we will also offer sub-challenges to organizations who want to be included in a particular grouping. Results for these groups will be tabulated and shared weekly, and at the conclusion we will recognize the top performer in each group. Sub-challenge groups will include:

• Architecture / engineering / construction
• Banking
• Education
• Health care
• Legal
• Local government / nonprofit

Awards event

Winning teams and other participants will be recognized at an awards event after the challenge ends.
