Report your alternative transportation trips using the Commute Tracker button once you've logged in to your RideShare Connection account. See below to find out how many trips or points you must earn to be eligible for our weekly and monthly prize drawings.

Prize winners will be notified by email and must reply within seven days to claim their prize.

Daily prize drawings (NEW!)

Prize drawings will be done every day around 2 p.m. Participants who have logged at least one trip that day will be eligible, and winners will be notified by email. Winners will be announced on RideShare's Facebook page, in the weekly update emails and on the Green Commute Challenge website.

The daily prize will be the same for everyone — a Green Commute kit that includes handy transportation items such as a RideShare slingpack, tire gauge, shammy towel, umbrella, AirQ thermometer and Skycast magnet.

Monthly prize drawings

End-of-month winners will be drawn on Friday, July 29, and Friday, August 26, and will be notified by email. In July, the prizes will be related to the transportation modes represented in the challenge. In August, the prizes will be cash to emphasize the money savings that result from using alternative transportation.

July: Go green

One user of each of the following modes will win:

Bus riders – Kindle e-reader
Bicyclists – Kryptonite New York Fahgettaboudit U-lock, security cable and front/rear LED lights
Carpoolers - A limo ride to work donated by Pech Limousine Service
Walkers – $100 Footsmart gift certificate
Telecommuters – Isokinetics adjustable back balance ball chair

To be eligible, participants need to earn at least 100 points during July.

August: Get green

Besides what they're saving on their commute, participants have a chance to win some extra cash in the Green Commute Challenge during August.

1 $100 Visa gift card
2 $50 Visa gift cards

Eligibility requirements: Participation during both July and August is required. For the $200 gift card, participants must have earned at least 300 points during the two months of the challenge. For the $100 gift card, 200 points minimum is required. For the $50 gift cards, 100 points is the minimum requirement.

Organization awards

Employers will compete for overall organization awards based on total employee points (in several company size categories) and best workplace promotion of the challenge.
