A total of 35 active teams and more than 1,768 participants participated in the 2008 Green Commute Challenge. Here are the final contest results as of 3 p.m. on Aug. 29:

- 1,202,147 miles of driving reduced
- 48,102 gallons of fuel saved
- 934,316 pounds of ozone-forming and greenhouse gas emissions prevented
- $546,489 in driving costs saved
