Sponsoring the Green Commute Challenge offers great exposure to companies and organizations who want to show their support for commuting alternatives in the Kansas City area. Sponsorships are available to help cover costs associated with catering and prizes.

Prize donations
Businesses may also donate a prize that will be given away to a participant in the Green Commute Challenge. Some examples of prizes awarded during previous challenges include electronics (iPod, Kindle), bicycle light/lock set, athletic store gift certificate, Visa gift cards. Prizes should be consistent with the themes emphasized in the Green Commute Challenge (commuting and alternative modes, cost savings and air quality benefits). The Mid-America Regional Council retains final approval over donated prize items.
Businesses that donate prizes to the Green Commute Challenge will be credited for their donations on the challenge website and at the awards event.
OUR IMPACT
The Green Commute Challenge ended on Sept. 28, 2012, with 30 teams and 970 participants who:
- Reduced their driving by 796,678 miles
- Prevented 768,589 pounds of emissions
- Saved $167,302 in driving costs
