with an Onsite Coordinator
Providing an on-site Guaranteed Ride Home coordinator at your company offers commuters better access to a ride home. If a commuter's shift is not during RideShare daily office hours when an emergency arises, an on-site coordinator ensures the service will be available during that time. While calling RideShare does prompt a quick response, we are limited by:
- being at a different location from the commuter
- daytime hours our office is open (8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday; closed on government holidays)
Designate an On-site Coordinator
It's easy to become an on-site coordinator. Some companies use a security department or human resources contact to administer the service. Contact RideShare and request an Employer Agreement that confirms your organization agrees to support Guaranteed Ride Home through four actions:
- appoint an on-site coordinator
- actively promote the service to employees
- process any Guaranteed Ride Home requests
- help RideShare monitor and evaluate the program
When your organization becomes a participating company, it will receive monthly mailings with a list of employees registered with RideShare. By sending regular lists, RideShare can catch new addresses or changes in employment status.
