You are invited to attend the first of a series of discussions on how the Kansas City region can promote healthy people and healthy places!

Where people live affects their health. Good planning and smart growth can promote healthy behaviors and incorporate physical activity into daily routines. Join us Friday, July 24 for the Creating Healthy Communities Forum.

Mark Fenton, a nationally renowned speaker on pedestrian and bicycle advocacy and host of the PBS television series America's Walking, will lead the forum with a walkability audit and keynote presentation. Fenton is a recognized authority on public health issues and the need for community, environment, and public-policy initiatives to encourage more walking and bicycling.

Whether you are an elected official, planner, parks and recreation staff member, developer, public health professional or just passionate about this topic, you are encouraged to participate in this signature event.
