Transportation Committees

Many of MARC's transportation planning activities take place within the department's various committees. The committee structure provides an opportunity for local governments, professionals and citizens to discuss issues and coordinate planning activities related to transportation and air quality. Planning committees establish strategies for managing the region’s transportation system. Programming committees establish funding priorities and review and score transportation project applications. Both make recommendations to the policy-making committees, which report to the MARC Board of Directors for approval.

To understand how these committees work together, download the organization chart (81KB, pdf).
