Map of Final Recommendation for Roadway Improvements
The study recommends adding a new two-lane alignment from Metcalf Avenue east to Nall Avenue, following the existing 175th Street alignment from Nall Avenue to just west of Kenneth Road, and adding a new two-lane alignment from Kenneth Road east to Holmes Road. The roadway would have a 45 mile-per-hour speed limit, would accommodate a hike and bike trail, and could connect U.S. 69 in Johnson County to the planned North Cass Parkway in Cass County.

Revised Alignment Map Under Study
On July 19, 2007, the Kansas City Star ran an article showing a new proposed alignment with a lower speed and smaller right of way. The study team is considering this new alignment, along with the other alternatives, and we will be discussing this with the study's Partnership Advisory Board on August 14. This new alignment has resulted from some of the public comments from the June 5th public meeting, and also has benefits including lower cost and less impact to property owners. The study team is continuing to refine the alignment, but we wanted to provide you with the general alignment that was discussed at the Johnson County Park and Golf Committee meeting held the week of July 16.
