M-350 Highway/Blue Parkway Corridor Study

Completed in 2007

The M-350 Highway/Blue Parkway Corridor Redevelopment Study developed a plan for the economic rejuvenation and redevelopment of the corridor through examining land use and transportation alignment. The M- study area ran along Hwy 350 from the I-435 interchange to the I-470 interchange, extending 1/4 mile from either side of the highway. It included parts of Raytown, Kansas City, Mo., and Lee’s Summit.

In early 2003, a workgroup consisting of staff from Raytown, Kansas City, Mo., MARC and the Missouri Department of Transportation began discussing how Raytown might create a comprehensive development plan to enhance economic vitality along the Missouri State Highway 350 (Blue Parkway) corridor.

The M-350 Highway/Blue Parkway Corridor Study was intended to provide a high-level guidebook for making future decisions on economic development and revitalization of the corridor. It created a unified vision for the future based upon the desires of the community, the local governments and agencies, and business owners.
