Active shooter incidents are high-risk events that can occur without warning and cause devastating consequences. Telecommunicators need to be aware of the challenges posed by active shooter incident. This course looks at the telecommunicators’ role throughout the stages of an active shooter incident. The goal of the course is to educate telecommunicators about the issues and challenges posed by an active shooter incident.

Telecommunicators prove their value in saving lives, providing hope to those in distress and protecting first responders every day. Efficient handling of acts of active shooter events amplify the telecommunicators critical role as part of the first responder team.

Time

Participants can select between two sessions offered. The morning session takes place from 8 a.m. - 12 noon. The afternoon session takes place from 1 - 5 p.m. After registering for the class, please select the Event Session you plan to attend.
