Come learn how to effectively communicate through understanding the deeper emotions behind the communication of the kids in your program.

About this event

Communication is more than listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Effective Communication requires understanding the emotions behind the communication. This is what is called social-emotional literacy. In this session, teachers will define social-emotional competence, discuss its importance to learning, and explore ways to support social-emotional literacy in young children.

Two Missouri clock hours are provided.
