The Active Shooter Planning and Preparedness Workshop for Childcare Providers will help providers strengthen their active shooter plans.

About this event

The Active Shooter Planning and Training Workshop for Childcare Providers will help providers strengthen their active shooter plans. Early Childhood Care & Education providers will learn about prevention and reporting suspicious activity, expectations of local law enforcement, and active shooter planning and training for their sites. Childcare providers will get to test their plans through a number of scenario-based questions to help identify best practices and current limitations. Participants will get to meet local emergency managers and law enforcement officers to get their planning and training questions answered.

Registration is from 8:30-9: a.m. and the training will begin promptly at 9 a.m.

Two Missouri clock hours are provided. 

Educare funding is provided by the MO Department of Elementary & Secondary Education, Office of Childhood. KS providers are welcome to attend but KS clock hours are not provided.
