This training covers the initial health and safety topics for new providers and staff required by Missouri Children's Division.

About this event

This is an online class that will be presented with the Zoom application. A Zoom link will be sent to the email used during registration 24 hours before the class. Please make sure that the email entered is correct.

Three Missouri clock hours will be provided.

This training provides child care providers and staff with the federally mandated trainings required by Children's Division to register or contract with DSS to receive CCDF child care subsidy payments. This covers the initial training topics for new providers and staff (EXCEPT First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Topics include: -Prevention of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and Safe Sleeping (NOTE: Does not meet DHSS Safe Sleep requirement) -Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma -Emergency Disaster and Response -Mandatory Child Abuse and Neglect (CA/N) Reporting -Prevention and Control of infectious diseases (including immunizations) -Administration of medication, consistent with standards for parental consent -Prevention and Response to Food Allergy Emergencies -Building and Physical Premises Safety; including identification of and protection from hazards that can cause bodily injury -Handling and storage of hazardous materials and the appropriate disposal of bio-contaminants -Transportation of Children.
