The ICS-400 is a two-day course provides training for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS). This course expands upon information covered in ICS-100 through ICS-300 courses, which are prerequisites for the ICS-400 course. 

Course Objectives:

  • Explain how major incidents engender special management challenges.
  • Describe the circumstances in which an area command is established.
  • Describe the circumstances in which multi-agency coordination systems are established

Required Pre-Requisites

Successful completion of accredited and most current version of ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-300, ICS-700, and ICS-800 courses.

Target Audience

Senior personnel who are expected to perform in a management capacity in an Area Command or Multi-Agency Coordination Entity. 

This is a two-day course and both days of class scheduled to meet from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Lunch and refreshments are on your own each day.

Please allow 30 business days to receive a certificate of completion. Your certificate will be emailed to you as a PDF certificate from the Government Training Institute (GTI).
