Prior to joining MARC, she worked for 14 years in local government management for cities in Iowa, Kansas and Missouri. She is assuming a larger leadership role at MARC as part of an effort to organize local government services into a department that will bring focused leadership to serving MARC’s constituency.

Palmer will also oversee special programs such as the Managers Roundtable and First Suburbs Coalition.

“I am very excited to step into this role and broaden our engagement with government partners,” said Palmer. “The Local Government Services Department team is eager to collaborate with cities, counties and other partners in our region for the betterment of the communities and residents we serve.”
