Linking older adults to community-based services

When older adults need help in Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray counties, the Mid-America Regional Council's Aging and Adult Services program is the first call. The program coordinates and delivers community-based services that link older adults to local, public, private, voluntary and corporate resources.

Even when older adults have a network of family, friends or neighbors, they may not be able to meet particular needs like home-delivered meals, transportation to the doctor or a hot meal with friends. MARC’s Area Agency on Aging can help by matching services to each individual.
