The presentation will encourage participants to think about the why, when, where and how associated with making observations of children as well as documenting what has been observed. We will discuss how it can be helpful for planning, implementation, building relationships, recognizing, and supporting emerging skills, etc. Different types of observation, documentation and assessment tools will be shared.

This training will bring to light the importance of positive interactions between providers and the children they care for. Providers will learn how to properly engage with infants and toddlers and what children will gain from those teacher-child interactions.

Training Description:
Providers will have the chance to learn why sensory play is important and how to implement it into their practice.

1.5 Missouri clock hours will be given. There is no cost to attend, but registration online at the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education website is required.
