Harrah's gives van to Meals on Wheels
In a presentation on Sept. 30, Harrah’s North Kansas City and its parent company, Caesars Foundation, presented a van to Don Bosco Senior Center to be used by its Meals on Wheels program.
After hearing that two vans were stolen from the senior center last summer, General Manager of Harrah’s North Kansas City Tom Cook and the casino’s HERO (Harrah’s Employees Reaching Out) program decided to help.

The Missouri Attorney General has a No Call Registry. The law prohibits telemarketers from calling people that have been added to the list, with some exceptions including telephone companies and companies that have a current business relationship with you.
Couple married at Platte County Senior Services Center
A couple who met on an Oats bus and got to know each other at the Platte County Senior Services Center recently tied the knot at the Center in a small ceremony surrounded by friends and family.
Bill Sell, 94, and Doris Bloomberg, 89, of Platte City, Missouri, got married August 13 by their Oats bus driver, Rev. Charles Johnson, before leaving to honeymoon in Las Vegas.
