The Sport and Special Event Public Information and Emergency Notification course brings planners, operators, public information professionals, government, public safety, and marketing professionals together to prepare and/or enhance venue and event communication programs. The course prescribes best practices to common communication pitfalls and provides flexible and scalable solutions to a wide range of scenarios. ICS 300: Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents covers incident management strategies for emergency response to all-hazard incidents that involve ICS coordination. The three-day course utilizes scenarios and exercises within a team environment to facilitate participant discussion. The course delivery is a "less paper" delivery and course materials will be emailed to participants in advance of the course to download to your electronic device.

This eight-hour course is locally developed by regional police officers and tactical medics. It was developed for regional first responders who will be exposed to and then asked to demonstrate techniques related to countermeasures when engaging with motivated attackers. This instructor-led training will start with classroom instruction which will build to demonstrated techniques and end with practical application scenarios involving simunitions.

Target audience: Sworn law enforcement officers, tactical medics.

The Shelter Fundamentals course is a basic level course that introduces the roles and responsibilities for opening, operating and closing a shelter during a disaster. The course focuses on what new shelter workers need to know to work in a shelter. The purpose of the course is to prepare participants for the roles and responsibilities they will perform at a shelter services.

The Shelter Simulations course provides an opportunity for participants to increase their knowledge of working in a shelter and gain confidence in performing various shelter tasks. The course provides practical experience on how to conduct the various tasks required to maintain a functioning shelter and situations that may arise during shelter operations. Activities include group discussion; role plays and hands-on practice.

Participants in the course will learn how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively to control it with three quick techniques. The Stop the Bleed training course will empower you to make a life-or-death difference when a bleeding emergency happens. 

The instructors will teach you in person using training materials specially developed to teach bleeding control techniques. They will instruct you, and also be available to check your movements as you practice three different bleeding control actions:
