ICS-400 is a two-day course provides training for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS). This course expands on information presented in the ICS-100 through ICS-300 Intermediate ICS courses, which are prerequisites for the ICS-400 Advanced course.

Course Objectives

Explain how major incidents engender special management challenges.
Describe the circumstances in which an area command is established.
Describe the circumstances in which multi-agency coordination systems are established

L984 is a four-day course designed to address all responsibilities appropriate to a Planning Section Chief operating in a local- or state-level All-Hazards Incident Management Team. These responsibilities fall into two categories: 1) managing the planning cycle and 2) tracking resources and incident status. The course is an instructor-led training that supports learning through discussion, lecture, and active participation in multiple tabletop exercises.

The course introduces methodologies designed to complement and expand on national critical infrastructure framework guidelines. The training leverages a combination of exercises, discussions, and activities to optimize participant experience. The training is applicable across the United States regardless of the venue size, capacity, or type of event.

MGT 440 course is scenario based, focusing on event planning, incident management, and policy level decision making. The course is intended to prepare participants for the response to a large scale incident during sporting or special events.
