GTI Membership, Pricing and Registration

Pricing

GTI course prices vary depending on the type and duration of the course. Pricing information is available on the registration page for each course.

GTI members save 15% on all courses.

Membership

GTI members are those local governments and agencies that have paid an annual membership fee, affording their employees a 15 percent discount on most GTI courses.

Registration policies

Payments, cancellations and refunds

Payment by credit card is expected at the time of registration. If you must pay by check, payment must be received on or before the start of the course.

If you register for a course but cannot attend, you may cancel your enrollment by mail, e-mail or telephone up to five business days prior to the class and receive a full refund of your registration fee. You may substitute or transfer to another class, but you must do this prior to the five day cancellation window in order to avoid the charge for the original class.

Walk-ins are welcome, but pre-registration is preferred and payment must be made at the time of the class.

Exceptions to this policy may be authorized by the program manager.

Registration confirmation

A confirmation notice with the date, time, location of the class, parking instructions and map will be sent to participants whose registration is received five business days prior to the seminar.

Certificates and credits

A certificate of completion with the number of continuing education units (CEUs) earned will be issued upon successful completion of the course.

Inclement weather

GTI will generally make the decision to cancel or postpone a course due to inclement weather by noon the day before the class is scheduled to meet. GTI will attempt to contact participants at their workplaces and will also post a cancellation announcement on the GTI Information Line, 816-701-8398.

If the weather deteriorates significantly after the noon deadline, we will do our best to inform course participants. If you have any doubt about whether the roads are safe for travel, please stay home.
