More than just maps
Geographic information systems (GIS) are used every day by the Mid-America Regional Council to assist regional planning efforts in the areas of transportation, environment and emergency services.
MARC also supports collaboration between area governments on cross-jurisdictional GIS projects and cost-sharing endeavors.
This work is coordinated through the KC Metro GIS Committee — a regional consortium of GIS professionals who focus on cooperative efforts in public-sector GIS.
