MARC is supporting the SevenDays of Kindness campaign.

The SevenDays of Kindness campaign is promoting kindness and understanding through education and dialogue. The group was formed in response to the murders in 2014 at the Jewish Community Center in Overland Park to connect communities and encourage residents to spread kindness through understanding, education and dialogue.

MARC has joined the campaign as its first regional kindness partner to promote awareness among participating jurisdictions and to share information with residents.

Fourteen area communities are showing their support for the SevenDays campaign. In Missouri: Independence, Kansas City, North Kansas City and Parkville. In Kansas: Bonner Springs, the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas; Leawood, Lenexa, Merriam, Mission, Olathe, Overland Park, Prairie Village and Shawnee. In addition, Johnson County, Kansas, joined as the first county in the network.
