RideShare is a free, publicly funded commuter service designed to inform people about less expensive and environmentally friendly commuting alternatives. We offer information to help you make wise commuting choices that reduce traffic congestion, pollution, commuting stress, and save money.
Learn about RideShare's services:
- Carpooling & Vanpooling: Find out how carpools and vanpools work. Log on to our Carpool Connection Web-based matching service and search FREE for other carpoolers to share your commute.
- Guaranteed Ride Home: RideShare provides eligible commuters with a free ride home in cases of illness, accident or emergency during work.
- Employer Services: Let RideShare help your company develop an employee transportation program. Get information on commuter benefits programs and work alternatives such as telecommuting and flextime. Schedule an onsite visit for RideShare to discuss options with your employees.
- School Services: RideShare works with schools in the Kansas City area to promote programs like SchoolPool and other commuter alternatives among students, faculty and staff.
- Park-and-Ride Lots: Use a park-and-ride lot to meet carpool partners or your vanpool. Many lots also offer easy public transit connections.
- Commuter Resources: Get daily road construction updates and commuter news to assist in planning your commute. Use a Cost of Driving calculator to discover the true cost of driving alone. Link to the KC Commuter newsletter for the latest news about transit alternatives in the region.

Active carpoolers who use Carpool Connection's Mile Tracker feature to report carpooling activity for May will be entered into a prize drawing for a $50 Hallmark Insights gift certificate. The winner will be notified June 2, 2008.
