  • An overview of the core elements of dementia-friendly communities, including strategies for local governments.
  • Tips for recognizing and understanding the warning signs of dementia and resources for referrals.
  • A simulated dementia experience to better understand the challenges of individuals living with the disease.

Offered for adults with type 2 diabetes or pre-diabetes and their families, this course will increase knowledge of healthy food choices and diabetes management through meal planning, discussions and new physical activity choices.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will hold town hall to present the draft Master Plan on Aging to Missouri citizens, local, county, regional, and state government officials and for-profit and non-profit entities. 

Comments on the draft will be taken at each session.
