The Sport and Special Event Risk Management and Planning course is designed to develop capabilities for multi-agency collaboration pertaining to sport and special event safety and security. Through activity-based training modules, participants will enhance their ability for planning, risk assessment, training, and exercising practices specific to conducting sport and special events. The expectation is for participants to return to their respective organizations and coordinate the development of a sport and/or special event risk management and planning process.

Training Description

This session builds teachers’ foundational understanding of how a research-informed early learning curriculum is structured—and why play is central to how children learn. This is session one of two, but each session can be taken independently.

Two Missouri clock hours will be given. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.

Through activity-based training modules, participants will enhance their ability for planning, risk assessment, training, and exercising practices specific to conducting sport and special events. The expectation is for participants to return to their respective organizations and coordinate the development of a sport and/or special event risk management and planning process. 

MARC will host a hybrid pre-bid meeting for all interested consultant teams to ask questions and gain clarity around any elements or requirements of this RFP.

These meetings are working sessions for regular district business.

Since the early 2000s, quick build active transportation projects have gained popularity as an inexpensive and flexible way to improve safety, accessibility, and connectivity. Using paint, posts, and pilot treatments, cities have been able to test ideas and deliver visible change quickly. But what comes after the quick build stage? How do these projects evolve into safer, more durable, and more attractive infrastructure without waiting for full corridor reconstructions? 

2026 is here, and we'll be talking about the World Cup.
