The Dementia Training Room offers a free, come-when-you-can educational event for caregivers of people with dementia. 

On Monday, Nov. 7, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., KU Alzheimer's Disease Research Center will partner with MARC to offer a series of training sessions for caregivers. The sessions will repeat every 15 minutes through the day, and caregivers can attend as many sessions as they like.

This workshop is an adaptation of the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program, this class offers similar content, but delivered in one-hour segments for the workplace.

This program helps people with arthritis or related conditions reduce pain; increase strength, flexibility and balance; prevent falls and improve mobility. Instructors also focus on breathing techniques, and improving physical and mental balance.
