Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is a two-day interactive workshop designed to equip participants with practical skills to identify, intervene, and support individuals at risk of suicide. ASIST teaches participants how to recognize warning signs, engage in meaningful conversations, and develop a safety plan to help someone in crisis. The training is suitable for anyone, regardless of prior experience, and provides a structured yet flexible model that enhances confidence and competence in suicide prevention.

You’re invited to attend a Community Health Worker Appreciation Open House on Friday, Aug. 29 to celebrate Community Health Work Appreciation Week! 

The event will be held at Metropolitan Community College Penn Valley Education Center, Room 019 from 1:30 - 4 p.m., with sharing and storytelling at 3 p.m. All community health workers, allies and advocates are invited to attend. Music and light refreshments provided.
