Participants will engage in scenario-based activities designed to expand their ability to resolve risks related to crowd management and crowd control. The training is applicable across the United States regardless of the venue size, capacity, or type of event. Those who successfully complete this course should be able to use this training to develop or improve crowd management and crowd control programs for any sport or special event.

MGT 347 is a 4-hour workshop for emergency response supervisors and mid-to upper-level managers provides a detailed introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS) forms used in the development of an Incident Action Plan (IAP). Participants will examine the primary forms used in an IAP, as well as supporting and other utility forms. In addition, participants will review the planning process to identify at what point the forms should be filled out and by whom.

Through activity-based training modules, participants will enhance their ability for planning, risk assessment, training, and exercising practices specific to conducting sport and special events. The expectation is for participants to return to their respective organizations and coordinate the development of a sport and/or special event risk management and planning process.

The training leverages a combination of exercises, discussions, and activities to optimize participant experience.
