For the first time, this year's conference will be held over two days with a free pre-conference session on May 7, from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., focused on advocacy strategies and how to build a united message across the field of aging.

The regular, full-day Age Positive conference will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, at the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center with the theme "Age as an Asset." The conference will offer a keynote address, workshop sessions on topics ranging from LGBT+ and aging to legal issues faced by older adults. There will be a screening of the documentary "How Should We Care?" followed by a panel discussion. Lunch and networking opportunities will be provided.

Hosted by a partnership of regional organizations, this conference is best suited for professionals and volunteers working in senior centers, community centers, libraries, park districts and other venues that offer programs for older adults.

The cost for the second day of the conference is $60 per person, and $70 per person after April 8. Limited scholarships are available to students, volunteers and professionals whose organizations cannot pay the conference fee.

We hope to see you there!
