Economic forecast predicts slower job growth as nation's economy continues to cool

The region’s job growth in 2024 is expected to be about one-third of what it was in 2023 as the national economy slows and a tight labor market limits growth potential. Bright spots in the economy include health care and manufacturing, as the Panasonic plant begins to hire.
