Vibrant Success Stories to showcase exceptional regional planning this December

For over a decade, the Planning Sustainable Places program has worked to advance integrated local transportation and land use planning across the region.

Join us at the Vibrant Success Stories event hosted by MARC, the Climate and Environment Council, and the Sustainable Places Policy Committee on Dec. 5 at the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center. 

The event will highlight accomplishments from the MARC Planning Sustainable Places (PSP) program. Vibrant Success Stories will celebrate PSP planning studies that implement three core tenets of the PSP program: vibrant places, connected places, and green places.

This work has meaningfully engaged nearby residents in a collaborative dialogue to elevate and advance projects and surrounding neighborhoods.

Our featured stories, to be announced soon, are exemplary displays of:

  • Vibrant places: that offer a mix of options of housing, jobs, services and recreation.
  • Connected places: with a variety of transportation options.
  • Green places: that support healthy living and a healthy natural environment.


The MARC environmental program staff will also present a comprehensive 2025 update to the Climate Action Plan, and how current and future PSP projects will support this initiative.
