The new site showcases the breadth of MARC’s work to advance progress toward a stronger Kansas City region through leadership, planning and action in a more concise manner. It is organized around eight focus areas: Aging and Health, Early Learning, Safety and Security, Local Government, Data and Maps, Economy, Environment, and Transportation.

Visitors to the new www.marc.org are immediately greeted by a beautiful hero image on the homepage and can search for relevant content, select a focus area, or find the content people seek most often —training and events, news and committee information.

Notable new features include:

  • A training and events calendar that allows users to filter by event type, focus area, program and date.
  • A page dedicated to MARC’s committees where visitors can search by committee name and focus area.
  • Streamlined distribution of news about MARC and its work, now located on the news page.

“We’re thrilled to offer the Kansas City region this up-to-date website. We’re proud of the new look but are even more excited that the public, our partners and other stakeholders can now use the website on mobile devices and more easily find the information they need,” said Kristin Johnson-Waggoner, MARC’s director of Public Affairs.

On the MARC, a blog that provided news and updates from the Mid-America Regional Council, is retiring in wake of the launch of the new website. All news and updates are available in the news section of www.marc.org.
