The annual Kansas City Plogtober Cleanup is a great way to get outdoors and enjoy some exercise while beautifying the streamside trails in your community.

Plogtober 2024 will take place in October across dozens of parks around the Kansas City region. 

What is plogging? It’s (P)icking up (L)itter while out j(OGGING) in the KC region. And it’s is as easy as 1…2…3!

  1. Pick a trail or greenspace you love where litter is a problem.
  2. Go for a jog or walk and pick up litter as you go! Bring protective gloves and a trash bag (and a grabber if you have one).
  3. Go to kcplogtober.com to log your plog, snap a photo to register for prizes, and score points for your County’s team throughout the month of October!
