MARC, the designated metropolitan planning organization (MPO) for the bistate Kansas City region, is seeking public input on its transportation planning process as part of a federally mandated certification review.

Federal law requires urban areas with populations over 50,000 to designate an MPO in order to receive federal highway and transit funding. MARC fulfills this role by collaborating with federal agencies, state departments of transportation, transit providers, local governments and community stakeholders to guide projects in line with the region’s long-range transportation plan, Connected KC 2050.

The U.S. Department of Transportation conducts a certification review every four years to ensure MPOs comply with federal regulations. Please complete the short survey below to share your feedback.

The deadline for feedback is Friday, Aug 15, 2025.
