  1. Address multiple transportation modes in the city’s comprehensive plan.
  2. Adopt a Complete Streets resolution and implement related activities.
  3. Provide infrastructure at public transit stops including shelters, lighting and benches.
  4. Construct pedestrian facilities connecting sidewalks, transit stops and stations.
  5. Include older driver and pedestrian safety provisions in long-range safety plan.
  6. Provide information for determining older driver competencies and support transition from driving to non-driving.
  7. Implement strategies to support independence of non-drivers.
  8. Provide information on transportation options including details on how to access those services.
  9. Consider application for Walk Friendly and/or Bike Friendly Community designation.
