KC Meal Link, a program of the Mid-America Regional Council’s department of Aging and Adult Services, is a bistate initiative that brings together community-based organizations, health care agencies and meal providers to address food insecurity by providing pre-prepared and home-delivered meals to community members in need of nutritional support. 

Programs

Meal and Nutrition Infrastructure Planning

KC Meal Link and stakeholders assess opportunities to strengthen the efficiency of the prepared meal infrastructure in the region. KC Meal Link strives to:

  • Expand home-delivered meal partnerships to serve more clients.
  • Ensure the quality and nutritional value of home-delivered meals.
  • Build infrastructure for medically tailored and culturally appropriate meals.
  • Establish alternative payment models for clients who do not qualify for assistance programs.

Community Collaboration Space

Centrally located in North Kansas City, Missouri, KC Meal Link’s community collaboration space provides flexible workspace rental, storage and event rental opportunities: 

  • Shared workspace and storage options: We provide flexible shared rental and storage opportunities including kitchen, large project workspace, storefront pickup space, and refrigeration and freezer storage.
  • The Rooftop at KC Meal Link event space: With a deck overlooking Kansas City’s skyline, The Rooftop can host up to 100 people. The space is available to rent for meetings, trainings and special events. We offer discounted rates for nonprofit and community-based organizations. Learn more here.
