MARC plans to host two events that provide a forum for cities to discuss short-term rental (STR) policy in relation to the 2026 World Cup. The goal of the meetings is to provide an opportunity for idea sharing, document regional discussions on STR policy, and encourage post-event actions that help keep the region moving towards its housing goals.

This second event will serve as a follow-up to identify lessons learned, as well as to re-focus on key housing issues.

The agenda will include:

  • Regional STR data pre/post event
  • Group discussion on trends during the World Cup
  • Refocus on housing goals and strategies
