MARC plans to host two events that provide a forum for cities to discuss short-term rental (STR) policy in relation to the 2026 World Cup. The goal of the meetings is to provide an opportunity for idea sharing, document regional discussions on STR policy, and encourage post-event actions that help keep the region moving towards its housing goals.  

This second event will serve as a follow-up to identify lessons learned, as well as to re-focus on key housing issues.

Please join us for the Regional Workforce Intelligence Network quarterly meeting on Thursday, November 5, 2026 (please note new date) from 10-11:30 a.m. This meeting will be held hybrid in MARC's new location at 801 Pennsylvania Ave. in the Board Room and on Zoom.

RWIN members are invited to hear presentations and contribute to discussions on the region’s economy and labor market. RWIN Members will receive individual meeting invitations. An agenda will be distributed prior to the meeting.

Join Frank Lenk, MARC’s Economic Research Director, as he presents the 2027 Economic Forecast for the Kansas City Region. The session will also describe underlying trends affecting the growth of the Kansas City economy.  Participants will have the opportunity to engage with this information in groups and share insights that can lead to more effectively responding to the challenges being created by shifting economic and demographic forces.
