During 2026, MARC plans to host two events that provide a forum for cities to discuss Short-Term Rental policy in relation to the 2026 World Cup. The purpose of these events is to provide an opportunity for idea sharing, help document region policy, and encourage actions that help keep the region moving towards it’s housing goals following the summer of 2026. 

In late 2025, the Kansas City Regional Housing Partnership (RHP) partnered with Visible Network Labs (VNL), a data science company that helps measure, understand and evolve the personal and professional networks that influence communities, to create a data map of the RHP Network. The goal of the project was to identify who is currently active in the regional housing ecosystem, what services they provide, how they collaborate, and where expansion opportunities exist.

Join the Greater Kansas City Regional Housing Partnership for a special presentation and lecture from Caroline Souza, AIA, principal at David Baker Architects (DBA), on DBA’s book, 9 Ways to Make Housing for People. Caroline will share these strategies through built and new work, making the case for the power of design, even on tight budgets, to make homes and communities that are vibrant and resilient.
