In late 2025, the Kansas City Regional Housing Partnership (RHP) partnered with Visible Network Labs (VNL), a data science company that helps measure, understand and evolve the personal and professional networks that influence communities, to create a data map of the RHP Network. The goal of the project was to identify who is currently active in the regional housing ecosystem, what services they provide, how they collaborate, and where expansion opportunities exist. Over 300 housing-related organizations – from community-based nonprofits to local governments to housing developers – were invited to participate in a survey to map housing production- and preservation-related services and relationships across the region. By mapping relationships, evaluating the strength and source of those connections, and identifying overlaps or redundancies, the analysis lays the groundwork for future collaborative efforts by demonstrating how networked approaches add value to regional housing efforts across Kansas City.
Please join the RHP and VNL for a webinar as VNL founder, Dr. Danielle Varda, PhD., shares insights from the Social Network Analysis Report of the RHP ecosystem. The webinar will highlight key findings from the network survey report and explore opportunities to utilize this local data to strengthen the RHP network and regional housing efforts going forward.
