MARC offices, 600 Broadway, Suite 200 Kansas City, Missouri 64105
Over the winter, we explored the opportunity for economic development and job creation in our region related to materials recovery. In our next meeting from 9:00-10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20, we will be discussing alternative models for regional solid waste management, specifically transforming waste into energy and other materials.
We will hear from presenters across the waste transformation sector about emerging technologies and how they are deployed worldwide. Learning about these solutions will help us to envision and begin building toward a future that reduces our reliance on landfills as the primary solution for solid waste.
