The Mid-America Regional Council is inviting residents from across the Kansas City region to attend a series of Smart Moves KC open houses this November.  Open houses will be held in Wyandotte County, Johnson County, the Northland and Jackson County, giving residents multiple opportunities to learn about the Smart Moves KC transit study and the region’s proposed 10- and 20-year vision for public transportation.

Open house dates:

  • Nov. 2, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. — West Wyandotte Library (Wyandotte County)
  • Nov. 5, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. — Central Resource Library (Johnson County)
  • Nov. 9, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. — Mid-Continent Public Library North Oak (Northland)
  • Nov. 16, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. — Plaza Library (Jackson County)

Community members are encouraged to attend the event most convenient for them. The open houses are designed to foster conversation between residents and MARC staff about the proposed transit network, its benefits and its potential impact on connectivity, economic development and quality of life throughout the region.

If you are unable to attend an open house, or would like to provide additional input, we encourage you to review the plan and complete the online survey.
