This season, MARC is spotlighting the region’s vast network of paths through its Regional Trails & Bikeways Map, a comprehensive resource that helps cyclists’ chart fresh routes, uncover hidden greenways and plan safe, scenic rides across city and county lines.

Whether you’re seeking a quiet wooded trail, a long-distance challenge or a new neighborhood loop, the map makes it easy to find your next favorite ride. With warmer days ahead, Bike Month offers the perfect moment to explore, wander and embrace the trails that make the Kansas City region such a vibrant place to ride.

How you can enjoy bike month

  • Attend a community event: Visit the hub to see a schedule of community bike events. From e-bike petting zoos to group rides, there’s an event for everyone. Have an event you’re planning? Let us know!

  • Ride your bike to work or school and log your trips on WAY TO GO: It’s never a bad time to try adding a bike to your commute, but Bike Month is an even better time! Plus, if you log your bike trip on the free WAY TO GO app, you’re eligible for monthly gift card drawings and discounts from local businesses.

  • Organize a bike bus at your kid’s school: Tired of the long drop-off/pickup lines at your children’s school? Check out resources for organizing a bike bus on the MARC Bike Month hub.

Visit the Bike Month hub for resources for getting on two wheels, community events to celebrate biking with others and stories from people who bike.
