MARC invites residents to share experiences using the regional transportation system

Complete a brief survey about your experience when it comes to safety, access and reliability using our region’s roads, bridges and transit by Nov. 2

Residents across the Kansas City region are invited to share their daily transportation experiences by taking the Transportation Security Index survey from the University of Michigan. The effort aims to better understand how people move through the area and what challenges they face along the way.

The survey asks how individuals get from place to place, including any issues related to safety, access or timely trips. It supports our ongoing Housing and Transportation Coordination Plan and will help us better understand how transportation, housing, and access to opportunity intersect across the region.

The deadline to participate is Monday, Nov 2. Responses are confidential and will help identify gaps, challenges and priorities to guide regional planning efforts. 

Developed by researchers at the University of Michigan, the Transportation Security Index is a standard set of questions that offers a validated way to measure transportation insecurity — the experience of being unable to regularly move from place to place in a safe or timely manner due to a lack of resources.
