The Kansas City Regional Interoperability Committee is seeking qualified participants to support an upcoming Communications Exercise (COMMEX) designed to provide Communications Unit personnel with an opportunity to complete required task books toward credentialing. 

This full-scale, multi-day exercise will allow participants to demonstrate and validate competencies through hands-on scenarios, task completion, and evaluator sign-offs. Controller/Evaluators are also needed and are encouraged to register through this site.

Daily schedule

Monday, May 11, 2026 – Setup & Walk-Through (Required)

  • Team walk-through and exercise setup
  • All participants required
  • No students or task evaluations

Tuesday–Wednesday, May 12–13, 2026 – Full-Scale Exercise

  • All-day operational exercise
  • Participants will work in groups to complete tasks and required sign-offs

Daily Schedule (All Days):

  • Registration & Check-In: 7:30 a.m.
  • Exercise: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
