The next meeting of the Public Safety Communications Board is scheduled for Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.

The meeting will be held in person at the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) office: 600 Broadway, Suite 200, Kansas City, Missouri 64105  We will meet in the Westview Room on the second floor of the Rivergate Building.

A hybrid option will be available for those joining virtually.

The MGT 475 Crowd Management course will provide participants with tools and techniques for conducting crowd management and crowd control. Participants will engage in scenario-based activities designed to expand their ability to resolve risks related to crowd management and crowd control. The training is applicable across the United States regardless of the venue size, capacity, or type of event. Those who successfully complete this course should be able to use this training to develop or improve crowd management and crowd control programs for any sport or special event.

ICS-400 is a two-day course provides training for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS). This course expands on information presented in the ICS-100 through ICS-300 Intermediate ICS courses, which are prerequisites for the ICS-400 Advanced course.

Describe the circumstances in which an area command is established.
Describe the circumstances in which multi-agency coordination systems are established

The Sport and Special Event Evacuation and Protective Actions course helps sport and special event managers prepare and/or enhance their event action plan through incorporation of flexible and scalable protective measures. These measures can be used in isolation or in response to a larger, multi-agency response initiative.

L984 is a four-day course designed to address all responsibilities appropriate to a Planning Section Chief operating in a local- or state-level All-Hazards Incident Management Team. These responsibilities fall into two categories: 1) managing the planning cycle and 2) tracking resources and incident status. The course is an instructor-led training that supports learning through discussion, lecture, and active participation in multiple tabletop exercises.
