The four-part Housing Policy Innovation Series provides local government officials, policymakers, and housing stakeholders the opportunity to learn about and explore innovative, creative strategies that can be used to address the housing challenges in their communities and reduce barriers to housing development, preservation and attainability.

About Home Plus One

Home Plus One is an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) design competition that incorporates principles of universal design. The competition aims to educate key stakeholders in the specifics of universal and age-friendly design, generate buildable detached ADU plans, and build awareness around ADUs as a viable option for aging in place.
