Training Description:
This training focuses on supporting preschoolers’ literacy development. Participants will learn how literacy skills set the stage for children’s learning in school, how preschoolers learn literacy, and ideas and strategies to support literacy development during everyday tasks and activities in the program. 

Purpose

To create a cadre of trained Disaster Case Managers to help meet unmet disaster-related needs of survivors of disasters large and small. 

Target Audience

Professional Case Managers. Volunteer and paid Case Managers and Caseworkers. Volunteers and paid staff of COAD member organizations with interest in recovery. Emergency Management and other agencies with and interest.

An agenda may also be obtained by calling 816-474-4240 no more than seven days prior to a meeting date.

These meetings are working sessions for regular district business.

The MARRS Technical and User Committees provides a forum for all agencies using the regional system to discuss concerns and operational issues, identify training needs, and recommend enhancements to improve their use of the regional system.
