Students are encouraged to bring the HazMatID Elite and computer used in their departments (if possible) to work on the hands on portion of the training.

This is a two-day performance-level course designed to help participants safely and effectively respond to a biological incident by using an integrated approach. The course provides detailed information about various biological agents and possible methods of dissemination—whether naturally occurring or intentional. Participants will identify appropriate assessment and response actions and will review personal protection, containment measures, and tools that may be accessed during a biological incident.

The Mid-America Regional Council Emergency Rescue Committee, commonly known as MARCER, promotes regional coordination and cooperation in emergency pre-hospital care for metropolitan Kansas City.

The Regional Homeland Security Coordinating Committee's Training and Exercise Subcommittee (T&E) is committed to offering training in the Greater Kansas City region on homeland security issues, including deterrence, response and recovery.

L984 is a three-day course that will provide local and state-level emergency responders with a robust understanding of the duties, responsibilities, and capabilities of an effective Task Force/Strike Team Leader on an All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT). The course walks participants through general information, including an overview of the Operations Section and information on incident mobilization, initial situational awareness, and unit management.

This eight-hour course is locally developed by regional police officers and tactical medics. It was developed for regional first responders who will be exposed to and then asked to demonstrate techniques related to countermeasures when engaging with motivated attackers. This instructor-led training will start with classroom instruction which will build to demonstrated techniques and end with practical application scenarios involving simunitions.
