This course expands upon information covered in ICS-100 through ICS-300 Intermediate ICS courses, which are prerequisites for the ICS-400 course.Please be advised registration is reserved for emergency services personnel in the nine-county Kansas City metropolitan area: Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray counties in Missouri and Leavenworth, Johnson, Miami and Wyandotte counties in Kansas. Course Objectives

  • Explain how major incidents engender special management challenges.
  • Describe the circumstances in which an area command is established.
  • Describe the circumstances in which multi-agency coordination systems are established

Pre-Requisites

Successful completion of accredited ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-300, ICS-700, and ICS-800 courses. State and local first responder senior personnel. Individuals must have their agency support to attend this Advanced level course.

Target Audience

State and local first responder senior personnel who are assigned to and expected to perform in a management capacity in an Area Command or Multi-Agency Coordination Entity. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.
