Please be advised registration is reserved for emergency services personnel in the nine-county Kansas City metropolitan area: Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray counties in Missouri and Leavenworth, Johnson, Miami and Wyandotte counties in Kansas. Travel costs are not provided.
Prerequisites
There are no course prerequisites for this course but recommended training:
- AWR-167: Sport and Special Event Risk Management and Planning
- IS-100: Introduction to the Incident Command System
- IS-200: ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents (ICS)
- IC-700: An Introduction to the National Incident Management Systems (NIMS)
- IC-800: National Response Framework, An Introduction
FEMA / SID Number. Students must have a FEMA Student Identification Number (SID) to attend class. You can look up your FEMA SID, or register for a new one, at the following site: https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid.
Please note that all non-U.S. citizens who wish to attend must be pre-approved by DHS before the start of class. Individuals will need to bring their photo ID to attend the course.
